OUR DRUMS
Eco Drums are produced from the limbs of the Camphor Laurel, a tree imported from China. Camphor Laurels have ravaged the native trees of the North Coast of New South Wales and Queensland.
Every Eco Drum is unique, shaped according to the characteristics of each log, producing an aesthetic appeal and wondrous sound. The density of the timber, size, thickness of the skin and the cord guarantee individuality.
We've included standard prices for our drums but drum sizes vary and a drum can be custom made. We woud prefer people contact us for full details, availability and further information. It is important to buy a drum not for its price but for its quality of sound, craftsmanship and after-sales assistance.

Eco drums also make BODHRANS (Celtic drums) and traditional American MEDICINE DRUMS. These hoop drums are made from laminated and glued veneer timbers. They are skinned using feral goat and culled kangaroo skin. |
 |
Our BODHRANS come in three types: fixed tuning system (traditional), screw tuneable (gives greater scope for tuning) and 'cam' tuneable which require only a quick turn of the cams to tune and detune. The 'cam' tuneable, Cliff's design and our most popular, has the ability to give variations of sound around the rim with a 'quick cam turn'. |

 |
Our Bodhrans are available in a variety of depths and can be custom-built with or without bar at the back, cut-out for hand etc. Each bodhran has a free tipper. Tippers (bots or sticks) can be made to measure. Bodhrans can be made to order. Their depth, width, colour and tuning system is your choice. Hand-painted designs can be applied for extra cost. We can also repair bodhrans. |
